the umbral groves

The Umbral Groves: a dark & twisted forest, filled with mysterious flora and fauna. The region sits south of Frostvale, roots in the dirt making it look as if the Groves have been sewn onto Frostvale with needle and thread. The northern edge of this region is approximately a day and a half’s travel from Keystone, with the nearest Waystone being in Frostvale’s ruined Temple of Vythrithar.

The Umbral Groves used to have a different name — but it has changed, as it seems that the Orchard’s covens have lost control over their power. Instead, a large clocktower sits central to the Groves, its face changing colour with the phases of the moon — and causing all kinds of magical mishaps.
