The Heap has always been a mess. That’s just how things are.
Serenus keeps its streets spotless while dumping its problems below. Meanwhile the Skrap Folk thrive off of building their lives from whatever trash they’re given. Down in the Rot, strange things crawl, grow, and occasionally explode. Business as usual.
But now adventurers are slowly being pulled deeper into the differing tensions in this region. Some jobs require polished manners and clean hands. Others demand you crawl through sludge, sift through garbage. But somehow all of them deal with people who know far more than they admit.
The deeper you dig, the stranger things become.
And someone has worked very hard to make sure those secrets are buried far beneath the trash.
This arc will allow players to dive deeper into the lore of The Heap, and maybe themselves…
